According to the official page(fetched 2026-10-07): "Ajax is a fine-tuned Qwen 3.5 9B model, trained for Odysseus to be your always on agent."It is meant to handle daily tasks — "from search to browse web to email to your calendar" — privately, on your own hardware. The page also says "Ajax's refusal has been ablated for a freer, less restricted AI experience."
As of 2026-10-07 Ajax is not released: no weights, no model card, no license, no quantized builds, and no Hugging Face repository from PewDiePie or the odysseus-dev organisation (The Frontier checked on 2026-10-03; still true per our check on 2026-10-07). The official wording today: "I've decided to release Ajax when it's ready instead of putting a timer. I'm sorry, I'll do my best to get it done as soon as possible!"

What is Ajax, in one paragraph
Ajax is the first model trained specifically forOdysseus, PewDiePie's free self-hosted AI workspace that has existed since May 2026 and already runs other local models. In Greek myth Ajax was Odysseus' rival; PewDiePie joked the model is named after the cleaning product (Tom's Hardware). Because the base is a 9-billion-parameter model, currenthardware estimates suggest it will be runnable on a single consumer GPU once it ships — but formats, context length and licensing are still unknown.
